Keep Our Hightower Tigers Safe!
Crosswalk Safety Reminders

Please review and follow all traffic laws and school zone guidelines. Taking a few extra seconds around our crosswalks and intersections ensures every student arrives and leaves safely every single day.

⏱️
Observe the 20 MPH School Zone: Please follow all posted traffic laws and signage for everyone’s safety. Adhering to the 20 mph speed limit allows vital reaction time for unexpected stops or pedestrians.
🚶
Curb-Side Drop-Off Only: When dropping your student off at school, always have them exit the vehicle on the curb side. Never allow children to step out directly into street traffic.
🛑
Respect Crossing Guards: Watch for School Crossing Guards at all intersections. When they are in the roadway with a STOP sign raised, no vehicular maneuvers or turns are legally permitted.
🚗
Park Legally & Maintain Clear Sightlines: When parking near a crosswalk or intersection, park in the direction of traffic flow, at least 20 feet from the crosswalk, and at least 30 feet from a stop sign to provide clear visibility for pedestrians and approaching drivers.

Thank you for driving with care, patience, and vigilance around Hightower Elementary!
