What is Banking Day?
Hightower has a continuing relationship with North Dallas Bank and Trust to establish your child's savings accounts with an initial deposit of $1. Once a month a representative from the bank will visit the school to allow children to make deposits in any amount to the savings account. The child will then receive a prize from the bank to encourage them to continue contributing to the account.
Why should I start a bank account for my child?
This program is a fun, convenient way to teach your children how to be financially responsible and save money.
What do I need to do to participate?
For your child to participate in Banking Day, you will need to fill out the attached form and take it to the North Dallas Bank and Trust (located at Lorimar and Preston). There you will open an account for your child with a minimum deposit of $1. On the following dates, send money (cash or checks) with your child, and they will be able to give it to a representative from the bank who will deposit it in their account.
How do I get started?
To open an account, complete the 2018 New Account Form. Once the form is complete, the parent and child must go to the bank with the proper paperwork to open the account in person. In order to participate in the scheduled Banking Days below, you must first, visit the bank in person to open the account. Please do NOT send your paperwork to school with your student.
